Illegal Immigration Crisis

     Illegal immigration is the single biggest threat to national security that we have experienced in more than two decades.   It is not just a border problem; it has become a significant problem for every community in America.   I worked for Homeland Security with Air and Marine Operation (AMO) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents flying overwatch for the brave border patrol agents who engage the illegal migrants on the ground.   Democrats say border walls don’t work, and we just need better technology.   Let’s review the technology along the southern border and see if they know what they are talking about.

Border Technology

     Ground sensors all along the border detects the movement of migrants.   Tethered Aerostat balloons use cameras to track migrants once detected and pass the coordinates to ground agents.   Depending on the terrain, CBP agents use 4-wheel drive vehicles, ATVs, motorcycles, and horseback.   To help them track migrants, agents utilize dogs and drones below 500’.   AMO agents fly helicopters from 1,000 to 5,000 feet.   Light aircraft with cameras and sensors from 5,000 to 10,000 feet.   Faster medium-sized aircraft are from 10,000 to 15,000 feet, and even faster multiengine aircraft from 15,000 to 20,000 feet.   Predators operate above 20,000 feet with specialized equipment that can detect moving objects as small as a rabbit.   The Predator operator passes along the coordinates when they detect migrants moving.   The sensor operator on our aircraft slews the camera to the coordinates, and there they are.   A Coyote with 10-12 illegal migrants trailing behind.   By the time we coordinate a CBP ground intercept, the predator calls with another target.   At times, we would get several calls per hour as Coyotes would surge the border, making it impossible to track all targets.   This is why a border wall is the only effective tool that stops migrants.   Cartels and Coyotes know that by overwhelming CBP resources, they increase their success in getting their human traffic past ground agents.

Mariel Boatlift

     We can thank President Carter for starting the immigration crisis and President Biden for destroying America.   In 1980, President Carter signed his Refugee Act into law, announcing he welcomed up to 50,000 refugees yearly.   In that year, 1,700 boats traveled from Florida to Cuba, and about that same number of boats departed Cuba and Haiti for Florida, creating what became known as the Mariel Boatlift.   This went on for seven months before the Carter administration could bring it under control.   25,000 Haitians and 125,000 Cubans landed in Florida.   20,000 Cubans came from Fidel Castro’s prisons and 5,000 from mental institutions.

Diversifying America

     According to new census data, the U.S. is diversifying faster than predicted.   In 1980, the white non-Hispanic population in America was 79.6%, and 58.1% in 2023.   Hispanics and Latinos have been replacing Whites at a rate of 1 million per year since 2000.   According to U.S. Census data, the Hispanic and Latino population increased from 35.3 million in 2000 to 61.1 million in 2020.   That is an increase of 25.9 million, which is a change of 1.29 million each year.   However, according to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, only about 250,000 Hispanics and Latinos are naturalized annually.   So, what accounts for the 1 million disparity of their population growth?

Biden’s Border

     It is not that the U.S. does not have immigration laws to control illegal immigration; it is because certain government officials refuse to enforce them.   The individuals we put in office to protect our rights and serve our interests have failed us.   They run so-called sanctuary cities and states, but when illegal migrants show up, they don’t want them.   After migrants cross the border, the Biden administration gives them a free iPhone so they can call home and tell their friends and relatives to come to America.   CBP processes them with a court date 15 years into the future and gives them a free bus pass to go wherever they want in the U.S.   The Biden administration pays for their healthcare, housing, and three meals a day.   They are given spending money, free clothes, and free laundry service.   Why would they ever want to work?   Congress says illegal migrants are costing taxpayers $450 billion each year but doesn’t seem to know exactly how many migrants are in America illegally.

Obama’s Changes

     The number of illegal migrants in America that politicians continually throw around is 10 million.   During the Obama administration, Homeland Security claimed they decreased the illegal migrant population from 11 million to 10 million.   When I worked with Border Patrol, this made no sense based on the CPB’s monthly reports sent to DHS.   During the last four years of the Obama administration, illegal migrants were crossing the border in the Rio Grande sector at a rate of 1,000 per day.   What we figured out was DHS was counting turn-backs as deportations.   Roma, Texas, was one of our busiest locations.   Coyotes would send four rafts across the Rio Grande and only land one raft, turning back the other three due to the presence of border agents.   That works out to 50-60 turn-backs per hour.
      Starting in 1970, a census long form was sent to one in six households asking the citizenship question.   In 2010, President Obama ordered the U.S. Census Bureau to withhold the long form from the census.   When President Trump tried to bring the long form back for the 2020 census, multiple lawsuits from Democrats and liberal organizations prevented it.   Which begs the question, why don’t they want to know how many migrants are in America illegally?
      Goldman Sachs is renowned for its economic analysis.   Governments and corporations around the world use their data analytics.   In 2012, Goldman Sachs announced their economic analysis of the U.S. population was 20 million more than the 2020 census indicated.   This prompted MIT and Yale to conduct their own research study.   Analyzing data from 1990 through 2016, the MIT/YALE study concluded the undocumented immigrant population was 22.1 million.   Based on research by MIT and Yale, CBP data provided to DHS, and the 10.4 million who have entered the U.S. illegally in the first three years of Biden’s presidency, a conservative estimate is that 35 million have entered America illegally.   That is more than 10% of the total U.S. population.

Democrats Are the Only Ones That Care About Illegal Migrants

     Campaigning for president, Joe Biden said on national TV, “If you live in another country and you feel you are being persecuted, come to America.”   He also said, “Immigrants are just going to keep coming and coming, and us White people are just going to have to get use to it.”   A Democratic Congressman said, “migrants coming to the U.S. are just seeking their American dream.”   What about our American dream?   A few days later, a Democratic Senator said, “Democrats are the only ones that care about the migrants coming to America.”   What about caring for American citizens and our struggles?

Diversity Is Our Greatest Strength

     In 2010, President Obama ordered the DOJ and FBI to stop tracking crimes committed by illegal migrants.   Based on this fact, Texas created its own database to track crimes committed by illegal migrants in Texas starting in 2011.   Since then, 300,000 illegal migrants have been charged with more than 513,000 criminal offenses, including 950 murders, 1,150 kidnappings, 6,500 rapes, 7,500 sexual assaults, 65,000 physical assaults, and more than 138,000 other felony crimes.
      Since January 2021, more than 10 million migrants have entered America illegally, of which 74% are military-age men.   Since President Biden took office in January 2021, his open border policy has allowed 8,369,199 migrants to enter the U.S. illegally, along with 1.7 million known got aways, and an estimated 350,000 unknown got aways.   That is 10,419,199 illegal migrants in three years.
      During this same time, Border Patrol apprehended 294 individuals on the terrorist watch list and stated it is likely many terrorists have made it through undetected.   Our open border allowing more than 10 million illegal migrants to enter the U.S. costing taxpayers 450 billion each year.   Since January 2021, Border Patrol Agents have seized 27,293 pounds of fentanyl.   That’s enough to kill 6 billion people.   During these three years of Biden’s administration, 325,780 Americans have died from drug overdose.   4,734 of those deaths were children.   How could anyone believe President Biden and Democrats care about us or our families?
